If you are up for a beautiful drive to a beautiful town for some wonderful food, Make your way out to Wimberly to eat at “The Leaning Pear”. Nestled in the woods off River Road you will find my favorite spot to stop and enjoy life for a moment. Ask to eat outside in the treehouse and you get to sit overlooking the forest in a covered, screened, and fanned eating area.

The Leaning Pear is the only place I have eaten who can make Meatloaf as good as my Mom, and that's saying something. I had my mom's meatloaf with mashed potatoes for frosting as my birthday cake one year! (remind me to try and find that picture.)

But the real star is the Macaroni and Cheese. Order one for here, and one to go!

The Mac and Cheese is so good that I would call it the best Macaroni and Cheese in Austin, even though it's not IN Austin. If you didn't count it, that's like saying Jester King doesn't have the best Brisket Pizza in Austin. It's so good, that you shouldn't limit yourself by things like geographical boarders! What are we Neanderthals?
