Casa De Luz, Austin's House of Light

House of Light, Humane, Community Centered,
Vegetarian Resteraunt Church / Center for Integral Studies.

If I had to pick a restaurant in Austin for the Humanitarian of the Year award, it would be Casa De Luz.

Walking onto the property transports you to from the bustle of the city out to another world, peaceful, serene. It feels like you are a million miles away when you are literally surrounded by the city.

Casa De Luz has had delicious food and a FIXED menu price for the past FIFTEEN YEARS. If you still can't afford to pay your bill, you can work it off in the kitchen washing dishes. They even offer classes on how to prepare delicious meals! A HUGE THANKS to everyone that works here. We really appreciate you!

"Through community, we get to see the face of something larger than our individual selves. We are all teachers and we are all students at the table of life." - Wayo
